Mountains & Plains Swimming (MPS) is the name of the new Area designated by Swimming NSW of which Glenbrook is a part of. Previously Glenbrook was a part of Central Tablelands Swimming (CTS) however CTS has now merged with Central Western District (CWD) and the new Area is called MPS. All members from each swimming club within MPS are encouraged to attend the Area swimming Championships. Glenbrook Swimming Club encourages all its members to attend and compete and contribute to the wonderful team spirit that Glenbrook shows at these swimming meets. There is no qualification to attend and it is a great way to be introduced to competitive swimming outside of club nights. All swimmers who compete earn points towards their age championship results and open championships if their result times are within the Area Qualifying Time (QT). All Glenbrook swimmers earn points towards Glenbrook’s tally for champion club.

 

This summer season there are two (2) Area Championship meets both being held over separate weekends (Saturday and Sunday for both weekends). The Restricted Age heats will be conducted as part of the Area Championships however you do need to nominate which weekend. Refer to our calendar of events for dates and other details.

BROPHY

Brophy is an annual sprint event held in Canberra. MPS selects swimmers from within the Area to swim as a MPS representative and it is regarded an honour to be selected. To have a chance of selection swimmers are encouraged to swim as MPS Championship meets in that season. For further information please see your Club Race Secretary.
