Country Regional Meet - Bathurst

The weekend of 24th and 25th of January saw a record 35 swimmers from GSC compete at the NSW Country Regional Meet in Bathurst. Our representative swimmers swam a total of 207 races, which is testament to their versatility and stamina both days. A highlight was the "SKINS" event, in which the top eight swimmers from the 100m freestyle men's and women's events were selected to swim a 50m freestyle race. The top five from this race swam again, then the top two swam against each other, with the winner awarded a $250 cash prize, and $50 for second place. Our Club came out tops with Maya Suzuki taking out the cash for the women's event, and Daniel Melbourne winning the men's race. Congratulations to both!
